Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tier 2 Field Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing projects. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft products such as AD, Exchange, Office 365, and Azure.
Responsibilities
Advanced Technical Support:
- Provide expert-level support to clients, resolving escalated technical issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with support teams to ensure seamless issue resolution.
Solution Implementation:
- Design, plan, and implement advanced IT solutions based on client requirements.
- Execute complex configuration changes and system integrations to optimize client infrastructure.
Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate technical problems related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Analyze logs, performance data, and system metrics to identify root causes of issues.
Client Consultation:
- Engage with clients to understand their business needs and technical challenges.
- Provide proactive recommendations and insights to enhance their IT environment.
Knowledge Sharing:
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and best practices with internal teams.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
Documentation:
- Create comprehensive documentation for solutions, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, technical issues, and solutions provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Field Services Engineerrole or similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Microsoft AD
- Microsoft O365
- Azure/InTune
- Server and Storage Virtualization – Dell, HPE, Synology, Vmware and Veeam
- Virtualization (Vmware/HyperV)
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Sonicwall,Sophos)
- Switching – Aruba, Dell, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti
- Routing – VLANS, VPN, DHCP, DNS
- Wireless – Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki, Ubiquiti
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
